Bud Vase

These are the bud vases i tried today. I find the clay very frustrating to work in.

Rolled Plate

Just rolled out a piece of off cut metal. I don't know if i am going mad because i have worked so much with Africa but i thought it was just weird how much this resembles Africa.

Anglo Gold Entry

This is the piece I designed for Anglo Gold. I made the ring so it resembles roots which represents origins and the ring topper is inspired my a mandala which is a symbol of the universe.

I did the design on Rhino because I wanted the mandala top to be very even and uniform. 

I found it very fun to do on Rhino because I could easily play around with where I wanted the different cut out pieces to be and then revolve that around the piece, the shape of the outside was then determined by the patterns in the middle.

Paper Cutting

When i was looking up the Mandala i came across how to make one using paper. It is basically the same way is which you used to make a snow flake out of paper when you are in primary school. By folding it and cutting shapes out of it. I thought this would be a good start for my designs.

Mandala

When I was searching through Pinterest for amazing callings I came across a Mandala. I searched for what they mean and it is a spiritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism which represents the universe.

Ceiling

Fpr Anglo gold the theme is celestial origins. At first this really confused me...but then I realized that celestial meant something above you. So I started looking at pressed ceilings for inspiration on Pinterest.
