500 likes!!! Already have 11 orders for next year off my Facebook page.

When the workshop closed I thought I would have no more orders from my Facebook page, because I figured all orders were for Christmas, but I was very wrong. So far I have 11 orders for the new year. Can't wait to get back into the workshop.

Just received an order to do this fireman brooch. Going to be doing it first thing when I get back to tech. I think Rhino will come in handy with this particular order. Excited to do something so different.

I had a very weird experience this week. I received an order off my Facebook page for a brooch in the shape of a dog. I made it out of sterling silver 50 mm wide and 1mm thick. It was a very substantial weight. When I told her it would cost her R400.00 she said that she had no idea that it would be that much and that she couldn't take it. This I didn't mind because it was really fun to make and I received an amazing response to it on Facebook. But my question was...what did she expect to pay for a sterling silver brooch?

So I have decided to show people how jewellery is actually made by taking photo's and uploading them to my Facebook page. This is the first photo from this series and it is showing the alloying of sterling silver.

Ill let you know what kind of response I get.

Stack Ring Success

So happy with how popular my stack rings are. Sold out in only two markets. Got to get back into the workshop.

Upmarket

I started a new market this Sunday and it was absolutely amazing! They were so well organised, it actually blew me away. They even put up signs with the name of every store above the tables. Although I didn't do as well at this market as the Granada Square Market it was its first time and there was an amazing response to it. So holding thumbs for next week.

Facebook Competition

I have completed my first Facebook competition and it has gone amazingly well. My likes on Facebook have doubled to 240 likes. I was just happy with this but also as a result of getting my name out in the public I also have received 5 orders off my Facebook page. Social media is an invaluable tool.
