Anglo Gold Entry

This is the piece I designed for Anglo Gold. I made the ring so it resembles roots which represents origins and the ring topper is inspired my a mandala which is a symbol of the universe.

I did the design on Rhino because I wanted the mandala top to be very even and uniform. 

I found it very fun to do on Rhino because I could easily play around with where I wanted the different cut out pieces to be and then revolve that around the piece, the shape of the outside was then determined by the patterns in the middle.
